WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING SINCE HIGH SCHOOL
After graduation from PHS I attended Motlow State Community College until early 1971 when I joined the United States Navy. I went through Boot Camp at RTC Orlando, Florida. After Boot Camp I attended Radioman Class A & C Schools at NTC Bainbridge, Maryland. The rest of my enlistment was served at COMOPTEVFOR Communications, Naval Base, Norfolk, Virginia and on board the U.S.S. Hoist, ARS-40 @ Littlecreek Naval Amphibious Base, Norfolk, VA. I attained the rank of Second Class Petty Officer (E5). I was discharged January 9, 1975 after serving 3 years 9 months and 1 day.
I met my beautiful wife Martha in 1976 and we have had a wonderful life together ever since. We have lived at Richmond for the past 19 years.
I have been employed
with the U.S. Postal Service since 1982 and plan to retire February, 2009.
